GeoPay, LLC (“GeoPay”) understands how important the privacy of your personal information is to you. GeoPay is committed to protecting your personal information through its compliance with this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). This Policy will describe the information GeoPay may collect about you, the information you may provide when you (i) access the GeoPay mobile application (“Community: Events & Rewards”), (ii) access the GeoPay website (the “GeoPay Website,” and together with “Community: Events & Rewards” the “GeoPay Platform”), or register an account through the GeoPay Platform, and GeoPay’s practices for collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your information.
Please read this Policy carefully to understand GeoPay’s policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please do not download “Community: Events & Rewards”, register with, or use the GeoPay Platform. By downloading “Community: Events & Rewards”, registering with, or using the GeoPay Platform, you agree to the terms of this Policy. GeoPay reserves the right to amend this Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the GeoPay Platform means you accept any amendments hereto.
1. Protection of Children. GeoPay is committed to protecting the privacy of children. The GeoPay Platform is not intended for children under the age of 13, and GeoPay does not knowingly collect personal information from children who are under 13 years old. If GeoPay learns that it has unintentionally collected or received personal information from a child under 13 years of age without parental consent, GeoPay will immediately delete such information. 2. Information Collected About You. GeoPay collects information from and about users of the GeoPay Platform when users provide information to GeoPay or automatically when users access the GeoPay Platform.
a. Information Provided to GeoPay. If you choose to download, register an account with, or access the functionality of the GeoPay Platform, you may be required to submit personal information, including your name and email address, as well as one valid payment method supported by GeoPay. You may review and change your information by logging into your account on the GeoPay Platform.
b. Information Automatically Collected. When you download, register with, and access “Community: Events & Rewards”, it may use technology to automatically collect real time information about the location of your device in order to send you push notifications regarding events occurring near you, enhance the quality of vouchers, coupons, and promotions offered to you by GeoPay through “Community: Events & Rewards”, and enable you to earn points when attending a sponsored event. When you access and use the GeoPay Platform, GeoPay may automatically collect certain details regarding your access to and use of the GeoPay Platform. If you do not want GeoPay to collect this information, please do not download “Community: Events & Rewards”, access the GeoPay Platform, or register an account with GeoPay.
3. Cookies and Web Beacons. The technologies used for automatic information collection may include cookies and web beacons. Cookies are small data files that are stored on the devices you may use to access the GeoPay Platform. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your mobile phone; however, doing so may limit your ability to access certain aspects of the GeoPay Platform. Web Beacons are small electronic files that permit GeoPay to monitor and review activity on the GeoPay Platform. For example, Web Beacons allow GeoPay to gather statistical data regarding the number of times users open “Community: Events & Rewards” or select a specific promotion available through the GeoPay Platform.
4. Use of Information. GeoPay may use information collected from you in order to provide you with more relevant content, enhance the functionality of the GeoPay Platform, carry out obligations and enforce its rights under the Terms of Use, and deliver an improved and personalized experience to you by understanding your user preferences. Personal information used to register on “Community: Events & Rewards” such as name, email, phone number, etc. may also be used by GeoPay Website users.
5. Disclosure of Information. Except as described in this Policy or as specifically agreed to by you, GeoPay will not disclose any information collected from you to any third party. GeoPay may only release your personal information to third parties: (1) to comply with legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) in special cases, such as in response to a physical threat to you or others, to protect property or defend or assert legal rights. In the event of a change in control resulting from a sale to, or merger with, another entity, or in the event bankruptcy, GeoPay reserves the right to transfer your information to an acquiring party. In the event of such change of control, your information will continue to be protected in accordance with this Policy, as may be amended from time to time.
6. Data Deletion. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, follow the steps as referenced in Data Deletion Instructions.
7. Data Security. GeoPay takes reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. If you have registered an account with GeoPay and selected a password to protect your account, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. GeoPay asks you not to share your password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although GeoPay does its best to protect your personal information, GeoPay cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through the GeoPay Platform. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. GeoPay is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures provided.
